After your appointment
Remove your bandage 2-3 hours after receiving your tattoo. You can keep your bandage on longer, and sometimes over night, if your appointment is later in the day. Do not rebandage during the entire healing process.
After removing the bandage, wash with warm water and mild, anti-bacterial soap. Gently wash the tattoo with your fingertips, rinse with cold water, and lightly pat dry with a clean towel.
Apply a thin layer of moisturizer to your tattoo twice a day.
Week 1
Your tattoo will likely be sore and red immediately after the procedure. Do not scratch your new healing tattoo.
After several days you may start to form scabs or the skin may start to flake. Let these fall off naturally.
Week 2
Your tattoo may be peeling or flaking more at this point and will probably become itchy. Avoid scratching and let skin flakes fall off on their own.
